Honoring single momsOk, so I am a little early for mother's day, but I am fortunate enough to be constantly surrounded by moms who go the extra.... extra mile for their children. So, when I interact with these amazing beings of love and fortitude, I find myself feeling really thankful.... just basking in the appreciation of all of those moms who inspire me, who's pain became my teacher.
Today, I am thinking about a single mom with two amazing girls. Her divorce caused much anguish over many injustices that she experienced. Yet, through it all, she kept her eyes focused on the health and well-being of her girls.
She asked me to work with her younger daughter on self esteem, attitude and positive communication. This mom was determined and there was much negativity/sadness to work through with this 17-year old girl. It has been a long and empowering road for everyone involved. And although the journey isn't over, there is hope in her eyes and in her voice when she speaks to me. A hope that resonates with the spiritual depth of her unwavering faith!
What a testament to all of the single moms who's tenacious grasp on the positive possibilities becomes a lifeline of hope for their children!
Today you are my inspiration. As I plan for the mother-daughter retreat, I think of one great lesson, single moms like you have taught me...
...there is only one direction for success...forward!
So, forward I go to this retreat carrying the dreams, ideas and successes that I have experienced alongside these powerful moms. You are an inspiration to us today and everyday, along with the entrepreneur moms we talked about in our previous post.
To ALL all moms and all human beings....keep pressing forward in harmony, hope and love!
